Dear editor,

I must congratulate all Rwandans for the fantastic elections they conducted. It was all done in a calm environment, which allowed even the weakest in our communities, to cast their votes with ease.

People woke up so early that no one was hassled in their effort to vote. In some countries, elections are characterized by violence and intimidation, but our case was indeed one to admire.

Moreover, I am sure foreign observers who are used to elections accompanied by violence will be taken by surprise. The whole process was superb.

Supporters of all the parties gathered to their respective polling stations and lined up to vote with all the discipline required. Let us keep this spirit so if we are to realize a good future.
