Prime Insurance has opened a new branch in Rwamagana District, Eastern Province, bringing the firm’s network to 28 branches countrywide.
John Bugunya, the Prime Insurance Chief Executive Officer, said the move aims at taking services closer to Rwandans.
He added that the firm is committed to delivering quality and innovative services.
Abdul Karim Uwizeyimana, the mayor of Rwamagana, hailed the development, saying it would enable more residents take up insurance cover for their businesses, as well as life policies.
"There are already four other insurance companies in the district; and this is a very valuable addition,” he said.
Prime Insurance was formed after a merger between Prime and Cogear in October last year, following the acquisition of the two firms by a UK-based insurance group, Greenoax.
