Nile River originates from Rwanda so it is a natural resource of Rwanda. The main question therefore is, how does Rwanda benefit from sharing our water with Sudan, Egypt and other downstream countries? 

For instance, is it something we can use to get oil from downstream oil-producing countries in return?

We must have a deal or else we use Nile water to irrigate our farmlands to produce more food for our people.

When I hear other people fighting each other over the Nile I can’t help but wonder how downstream nations can fight over a river whose source is in Rwanda.

Forget the arrogance of a white man who came all the way from Britain and decided to give one country monopoly over the Nile waters, we need to get something in return for this river originate from Rwanda or else naturally use its water to benefit our people.
