This week as you read through The Children’s Times you will learn different things, you will also read exciting folklore from different parts of Africa.

Starting with the story of a young African girl called Adhiambo, discover what happens when she goes of with her friend on a stealing spree. You do not want to miss out on this interesting series, now on its second part.

As you read more you will also meet the winner of the Children’s Art Competition Jeannette Uwase. Carefully examine her artistic style in the picture that made her win.

More still are the interesting drawings and stories that the brilliant children of Arise and Shine Primary Schools submitted. This shows a lot of potential talent in drawing and most of all in writing.

I would like to encourage all the children in Rwanda not to sit back and let their talents get wasted. If Jeannette Uwase did not practice her drawing talent she wouldn’t have won the Children’s Art Competition.

I believe that every child has talent in different things. It can be drawing, writing, sports, and even being a good speaker. With all this young talent, every child in Rwanda can achieve their dreams in life.

Don’t sit on your talents instead, use them to the fullest.
