Sorwathe who are bidding for an 11-match unbeaten streak, are eyeing a win over Esperance FC this afternoon at Kinihira playgrounds in a pool B league encounter.
After ten matches, the Rulindo district-based Sorwathe FC are the only second tier league side yet to lose a match this season and coach Jean Jacques Muteba is confident that they can keep up the winning run.
"We are doing everything possible to maintain our good form, we have not yet lost a match and it’s not time to lose on Saturday (today) either. Esperance FC are a good team but we will do our best and use home advantage to overcome the challenge.” Muteba told this paper.
Elsewhere in Pool B, hopefuls Muhanga host Interforce, in-form Bugesera entertain Kirehe, Rwamagana take on Intare while newcomers Golden Generation face Miroplast at Rwamagana stadium.
In Pool A, former topflight league side La Jeunesse play away to Cox Muleyi’s Pepiniere FC at Ferwafa turf, Vision FC host Gasabo at Mumena stadium, Vision jeunesse will be up against Etoile de l’Est, Gitikinyoni play ASPOR at Ruyenzi grounds while Gatsibo-based Hope academy host Ndera-based Heroes FC.
On Sunday, SEC Academy will be squaring-off with United Stars at Kicukiro stadium in pool A while Unity FC takes on struggling Akagera at Ruyenzi playgrounds.
