Muhanga and Bugesera FC won their respective pool B matches on Wednesday to maintain their winning form in the second division football league. Both grabbed hard-fought identical 1-0 wins on match-day 10 on Wednesday.

Second-placed Bugesera were playing away to fifth-placed Golden Generation while Muhanga were up against Huye-based Intare FC, who are second from bottom in the 12-team table standing.

Bugesera’s lonely goal was netted by striker Rachid Bigiraneza in the 15th minute while AS Muhanga won the game thanks to midfielder Ernest Mugabishaka’s 76th strike.

Muhanga moved to fourth place with 19 points, three behind Bugesera. Sorwathe maintained their grip in top spot with a 1-0 win away to bottom side Akagera FC

In Pool A, Nyagatare defeated Heroes FC 1-0 to go top of table standings with 19 points, three ahead of second-placed La Jeunesse who have played three games less.
