Movie personalities will be recognised once again for their work as the Thousand Hills Academy Awards, (THAA) return for the second time.
Actor Willy Ndahiro, who is also the chairman of the THAA, said, "The Awards go to talented individuals who have worked hard to promote the film industry.”
This year’s edition will include a mentorship workshop for 47 people, actors, directors and cinematographers, whose works were nominated for the 2014 movie awards.
The workshops started on March 15 and will end on 22nd, at the Africa Digital Media Academy (ADMA), in Kiyovu. Participants are mentored by experts from California, USA and will be given certificates during the day of the awards on March 27, at Petit Stade in Remera.
The awards are organised in partnership with the Workshop Development Authority (WDA) and the Ministry of Sports and Culture (MINISPOC).
Ten movies have been selected for the competition, along with 10 actors and 10 actresses.
From the top 10 films, the following categories will be recognized:
