They say children are a gift from God, well, this might be true, but it is not what a woman standing with a pregnancy test in her hand that reads ‘positive’ wants to hear, especially when pregnancy is exactly what she’s been trying to avoid. Worse still, when she already has a toddler and pre-scholar to deal with.

So how does a woman using birth control wind up pregnant? Are men playing tricks on their women? Are women careless? Are the health professionals who provide these methods not being clear enough on how to use them? Or are we simply not as enlightened on birth control as we think we are?

On pages 16&17, a few women talk about the shock that hit them when they discovered they were pregnant – yet they were on birth control! Health specialists also look into what could be the cause of such and advise accordingly.
