The Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) recorded a decline in the value and volumes traded yesterday compared to Monday, the bourse daily market report indicates.

According to the report, the RSE total turnover dropped to Rwf194,400 from Rwf1.1 million the previous day, while volumes declined to 600 shares traded in three deals compared to 3,600 sold in two deals on Monday.

The Bank of Kigali counter realised Rwf118,400 from 400 shares traded in two deals, while the Bralirwa counter recorded a total turnover of Rwf76,000 from 200 shares traded in one deal.

Both Bank of Kigali and Bralirwa share prices were stable at Rwf296 and Rwf380, respectively, unchanged from Monday’s closing price.

The RSE Share Index and All Share Index were also constant at 234.63 and 137.33, largely on the poor performance of the two most active counters on bourse, the report shows.

The Equity Bank counter was quiet yesterday, and closed at Rwf430, also unchanged compared to the previous session. The bank last recorded a total turnover of Rwf86,000 from 200 traded once. No transactions were recorded on other cross-listed counters, Nation Media Group, KCB and Uchumi Supermarkets.
