Fast rising singer-songwriter Bruce Melodie, proved he is a superstar in waiting after a spectacular launch of his 8-track album dubbed Ntundize, last Saturday.

R&B singing sensation Bruce Melodie wowed music fans at his album launch.

Fast rising singer-songwriter Bruce Melodie, proved he is a superstar in waiting after a spectacular launch of his 8-track album dubbed Ntundize, last Saturday.

The concert which was held at the Kabeza-based Kaizen Club attracted a huge crowd that filled up the nightclub.

With seasoned emcee Martin Kasirye aka Tino in charge, the concert started at 10pm with thrilling performances from an array of local artistes, before Melodie stormed the stage at 11:30pm to deafening screams from his fans.

The singer, who is among the 10 Primus Guma Guma Superstar 2015 finalists, was spectacular on stage as he performed along with his band.

Dream Boys turned up to support their colleague, Bruce Melodie at his album launch.

Melodie had strong vocals and delivered an exceptional performance. He wowed the audience with his hits, Telephone, Inderorerwamo, Hello and Ndakwanga, among others. He also did a rendition of songs by other artistes, such as, Jason Derulo, among others.

Afro-rock band Trezzor thrilled the audience.

Guests were treated to live performances and were left yearning for more. Despite the sound problems, Melodie’s album launch concert was successful.

"I’m impressed by the big number of people who came for my concert. I want to thank everyone here who came to support me—I love you and may God bless you all,” said Melodie, before adding, "I request people to support Rwandan music because it’s good and unique.”

Clarisse Keza, a Goma-based businesswoman, who attended the singer’s concert, said:”I’m a big fan of Bruce Melodie’s music and I have attended several of his concerts, including the most recent ones in Musanze and Rubavu. His is a talented singer and well-behaved. People should support his talent.”

KINA Music’s Christopher Muneza gave the crowd a taste of his guitar skills.

Melodie’s 8-track production includes some of his hit tracks, Ntundize, Ndakwanga, Camera Yi Mana, Ntujya Uhinduka, among others.

Audiences were treated to performances by local talents, who had come to support their colleague such as Giggy, T-Rock Saxo, Christopher Muneza, Uncle Austin, Eric Senderi, Jay Polly, Ama G The Black, Dream Boys and Hope Irakoze, among others.

Meanwhile, the crowd was overwhelmed when the Primus Guma Guma Super star (PGGS4) winner Jay Polly, stormed the stage and performed his popular track, Deux Fois Deux. The concert ended at dawn.

Ama G The Black didn’t disappoint the Hip-hop fans at the gig.

Melodie, 22, is one of the few local artistes who have garnered popularity in a short time due to his great vocals.
