The National Basketball League returns after a two-week break. The league was halted after Kigali Basketball Club players were involved in fatal car accident which claimed their coach-player Jean-Guy Rutayisire.

The future of KBC in the league is still uncertain and will not play this weekend. The former champions lost one player and four others got severe injuries in the tragic accident.

On-form APR face a confident IPRC-Kigali side that ended Espoir’s three-year unbeaten run three weeks ago—the game will be played at Amahoro indoor stadium, starting at 2pm.

Kicukiro-based IPRC-Kigali will also be in action on Sunday, entertaining UR-College of Arts and Social Sciences at the same venue at 10am.

Meanwhile, reigning champions Espoir will be up against new league entrants Patriots BC at Amhoro indoor stadium at 6pm.

United Beneration Basketball (UGB) club face last year’s first runners-up CSK at the latter’s court in Rugunga while struggling UR- College of Education face IPRC-South at Amahoro at 10am.

In women’s league, defending champions Ubumwe BC face seven-time champions APR at 12pm at Amahoro indoor stadium.
