Rwanda’s sole medal hopeful in the on going Beijing Paralympics Games, Jean De Dieu Nkundabera steps on to the field this afternoon (3pm local time) in the Men’s T46 800m at the Bird’s Nest stadium.

Nkundabera, who is hoped to beat the 2004 Athens performances where he won a bronze medal, has made a tremendous improvement since he touched down in Beijing for the Games.

Nkundabera has improved his time from 1.59.95 to 1.58.00 and according to Coach Eric Karasira he will beat the challenge to qualify to the next round.
