In a bid to streamline their activities, Pentecostal churches in Rwanda have a formed a forum, the New United Pentecostal Church Forum, revealed Bishop Charles Rwandamura. The forum, seeks to streamline activities of Pentecostal Churches in Rwanda, Bishop Charles Rwandamura.

Rwandamura, the president of the newly-formed forum and head of the United Christian Church, Tuesday at a consultative meeting with members at Remera said, "In order to maintain a clean record of the Pentecostal church, we need to cooperate on issues of common understanding.”

He, however, told members of the forum that it would not dictate how individual churches conducted their business. He added that the forum was formed to back up other church initiatives aimed at strengthening their operations.

"It is based on mutual understanding. Under the forum, we shall help each other in addressing the challenges of our ministry work,” he explained.

According to the bishop, the forum is divided into various commissions that will help them position themselves in supplementing government efforts aimed at enhancing the welfare of their flock.

Pastor Fred Nyamurangwa, the leader of the Discipline Commission, said that the Forum would help discipline members behind acts that taint the Pentecostal Church’s image.

Meanwhile, during the meeting, the pastors dedicated prayers to the government to conduct successful upcoming elections.

They committed themselves to enlightening Christians during their sermons, on exhibiting discipline in the September 15 and subsequent polls. The forum is currently comprised of about 30 Pentecostal church leaders.
