SABC News contributing editor Vuyo Mvoko was in Johannesburg covering the arrival of Zambian President Edgar Lungu on Tuesday when two thieves accosted him.

In the video posted to YouTube by SABC, Mvoko can be seen calmly waiting for his segment to begin. One of the suspects enters the frame and reaches for Mvoko's phone, then pushes him out of view. Someone off-camera can be heard screaming.
Mvoko said in a later interview that the other suspect pointed a gun at his crew and demanded all of their cell phones.
Hey, we’re being mugged," Mvoko says into his microphone. "We’re being mugged."

In a follow-up interview with an SABC host Mvoko said he called police, but didn't say whether authorities had anyone in custody.
