"The road to success has been hard. But you know what, you don’t have to give up immediately,” begins Sina Gerard in an Interview at Hotel des Milles Collines recently.
"I am now sure that my dream has come true at least. But it was a long journey to reach this point,” He says he always wanted to do something to help society. He looks up and thinks a while.
"I think I have contributed a lot. I love people,” he adds in a soft tone.
Sina Gerard a.k.a Nyirangarama, 45, owns one of the famous Urwibutso enterprises.
"The word ‘Urwibutso’ means enormous to me. It is the foundation of what my business is today,” Sina explains confidently. His famous ‘Agashya’ juice and ‘Urwibutso’ doughnuts has earned him fame in the area, Rwanda and internationally.
"When I flash back, I remember many things. It was hard at first. In life, you need to work hard,” he reveals.
"I remember this product became the story of the day when my clients first tested it. Even people from outside Rwanda come for my product,” he says.
He sounds like a person who has indeed achieved his dream. He worked hard and in 1999, he introduced Agashya Juice. It picked up. He says the sky is going to be the limit.
"I employ over 2000 families and their lives have improved,” he reveals. He says if you’re committed to doing any thing and you succeed, every thing becomes easier.
"Any type of a job can take you any where and meet any body,” he says.
At the just ended Expo 2008, Nyirangarama’s stand dominated the rest. At the stand, a number of clients flock in looking for best natural drinks.
They can’t find them any where apart from Nyirangarama. If you meet him, the first impression he gives you is to visit his shops and restaurants and enjoy his products.
