APR lose opening game in Africa Clubs Championships

National league champions, APR Volleyball Club lost their opening game against Algerian side Bourj Bouaririj Pool C of Men’s African Clubs Championships yesterday at the Olympic Hall in Sousse, Tunisia.

National league champions, APR Volleyball Club lost their opening game against Algerian side Bourj Bouaririj Pool C of Men’s African Clubs Championships yesterday at the Olympic Hall in Sousse, Tunisia.

The Algerian champions won 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, and 25-14). APR will face GSU of Kenya in their second game on today and on Monday they will face Nemo Stars of Uganda while on the fourth day, they will meet Ahly of Egypt before taking on Espoire of Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday.

Record holders Ahly of Egypt want to regain their golden era in Pool C along with Nemo Stars (Uganda), APR (RWA), Borj Bouarirj (Algeria), Espoir (Cote d’Ivoire) and GSU (Kenya).

Pool A: ESS (TUN) - Tangier (MAR) - Autoridede (MOZ) - Douane (BUR) - Atletico (CPV) - Hamad (SUD).

Pool B: EST (TUN) - Nahda (SUD) - FAP (CMR) - FAR (MAR) - Swehli (LIB)- Zamalek (EGY) Pool D: Setif (ALG) - Prisons (KEN) - Support (Zim) - KAVC (UGA) - Smouha (EGY) - Ahly Beni Ghazi (LIB).
