…are always in need of some money. I am not so sure if I also belong to this class but let us focus here, I am The Hater, not the one to be hated. Anyway, there are these people who seem to have a constant supply of problems that each time you see them walking towards you, you break into a silent a prayer.

You wish the ground could swallow you up so fast. Every time you see these people you come up with quick excuses to leave very fast. The other day one such a person met me at a time when I was broke too and had not shaved my beard for ages. He asked me for money and told him I had just converted to Islam so I was saving money to go Mecca. Why should you make our friendship an unending begging spree and turn me into an amateur liar?

…have no respect for personal property. I just don’t know why some people find it hard to respect other people and their property. I have already hated on those who you show one photo on your phone and they take it upon themselves to check everything else in your phone including the airtime balance.

I have just realised that these part time thinkers have cousins who, when they borrow a flash disk or hard drive from you, will do the same or even worse. They will check what else is on your disk and even copy files without seeking permission. I think it is not enough to say that we should stop helping these empty heads, they also deserve, sometimes, to be hit with a piece of mining equipment on the head for them to get back to their senses.

…always assume we are all ignorant about basic things. I am honestly sick and tired of waking up to articles titled, 10 things you did not know about X… Where do these jokers get the idea that we are all as ignorant as they are? What if I already know two of those stupid facts shouldn’t my copy read 8 things you did not know about..?

If you are in the business of informing and educating you just cannot assume everyone except you is ignorant unless your target audience is a tribe of very daft human beings. You can simply tell us those ten things without assuming we all certainly didn’t know about them or that you have just made a new discovery that no one out there knew about in the first place. Your lame assumptions are not scientific facts.

…think women only deserve respect on Women’s Day. In case you hadn’t noticed, today is International Women’s Day. It is a day to mark the amazing contributions that women all over the world continue to make in our lives and society in general. Now I can’t let the day go without hating on those who think it is the only time they should respect women.

If you seriously think that respect for women is something you should switch on and off, depending on the day of the month, them you have no business calling yourself a human and anything else I would have called you would also be offended to be associated with someone as uncultured as yourself. And this is not a message for men only.

Women too should respect fellow women. Show women love and respect always. Happy Women’s Day.
