Reigning champions White Clouds cricket club launch their title defense when they take on Queens of Victory in the first game of the 2015 VR Naidu T20 Cup edition at Kicukiro cricket oval this morning.

White Clouds captain Veronique Iriho told Saturday Sport that, "We expect to win this game because we have a well balanced team. Honestly, this should be an easy game for us.”

Iriho, who opens batting with Mary Maina in a hard-hitting partnership, anticipates putting on a good number of runs to lay a good foundation for the middle order.

The availability of Betty Mukunzi, the medium pace bowler who was named bowler of the ICC Africa U-19 girls’ tournament last December and teammate Pacifique Nyirandorimana should provide for good options with the ball.  

Queens of Victory captain Lilliane Umuhoza will need to ensure her side is up to the challenge against a team that swept all three titles on offer last year (three out of three), winning calls for determination and a display of teamwork especially in fielding.
