Police in the Southern Province have arrested three men in connection to the murder of a 27- year old woman. The body of the woman only identified as Mukamana was discovered on Tuesday afternoon in an old pit-latrine in Tumba Sector, Huye District.

The body of the woman only identified as Mukamana was discovered on Tuesday afternoon in an old pit-latrine in Tumba Sector, Huye District.
Police said the body was discovered by children looking for livestock feeds.
The victim was said to have been a commercial sex worker and some used condoms were recovered at the crime scene, which suggest she might have been raped before being killed.
The prime suspect in the murder only identified as Nyirinkwaya remains at large.
Those arrested include Gabriel Mupagasi, believed to have dined with the victim until 11 pm on the fateful day, Theogene Ingabire Alias Padiri and another only identified as Magagali.
They are now detained at Rango Police Post.
Sources said all the suspects had been seen sharing banned brew locally known as kanyanga.
CSP Simon Peter Mukama, Regional Police Commander for Southern Province, said the victim may have been strangled.
The body was taken to the University Teaching Hospital of Kigali (Chuk) for autopsy.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
