Amavubi goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari was the hero on Wednesday night as his two penalty saves against Mamelodi Sundowns aided TS Galaxy to the quarter finals of the South Africa Telkom Cup.
The crunch encounter at the Mbombela Stadium saw Sundowns coming from two goals down to earn a hard fought 2-2 draw through Marcelo Allende and Gastón Sirino to force the tie into extra time.
The former AS Kigali shot stopper, who was making his debut appearance for TS Galaxy, was magnificent between the posts as he made as many as four crucial saves to keep his side in the game during regulation time.

He dived full length to save Marcelo Allende's goal bound shot in the 34th minute and also pulled another spectacular save in the 95th minute from Keametswe Ramotsei before Sirino snatched a last gasp equalizer in the 98th minute.
Neither team managed to score the winner in the extra time, only to let the penalty shootouts to decide the result.
In the penalty shootouts, Ntwari saved two spot kicks from Brian Onyango and Lesbin William Nku to qualify his side to the second round in the Telekom, a performance that won him applauds from the fans and players alike.
With this man of the match display against an African powerhouse of Mamelodi Sundowns’ caliber, Ntwari could be thrown into the fray in his club's upcoming league games.
