According to our snoops, Jay Polly and Touch Records had an agreement to share the rewards from Primus GumaGuma season 4 equally (50 per cent each) but Jay Polly didn’t go through with the agreement. Jay Polly won a cash prize of Rwf 24m and Touch Records Studio was supposed to get Rwf 12m but Jay Polly didn’t give the studio a single coin.
Our snoops have also since confirmed that Bralirwa already paid Jay Polly Rwf 6m in a lump sum and he has been getting his monthly salary since December last year. Touch records had agreed to also be paid per month until the total sum came to Rwf 12m. However, that didn’t seem applicable to Jay Polly and he called it quits.
Social Mula accused of "stealing” song
Days after rapper Social Mula released NdiSerieux, upcoming rapper Petros IPC has come out to accuse him of theft.
According to our snoops, Petros IPC, who also has a song dubbed Ndiserieux, says Social Mula used some of his beats and the lines without his permission. Our snoops continue to tell us that Petros IPC was produced by Piano at Super Level Studio which makes Petros IPC suspect that Social Mula got it from there. Petros IPC is said to have told Social Mula to pull the song off radio stations or he’ll seek redress in courts of law.
Safi Madiba finally over Knowless
After more than five years of a hurtful breakup with songbird Knowless Butera, Urban Boyz’ lead singer Safi Madiba has finally found a girl friend, Parfine Umutesi, according to our snoops.
Safi had never hooked up with another girl after the nasty breakup and was said to still harbour feelings for Knowless, however, our snoops have been following his relationship with Umutesi closely and they can now confirm that they are officially an item.
The two met during the group’s tour of Belgium and they have since been spotted together at various events around town. They were recently spotted together at the Miss Rwanda 2015 finale and at the after party.
Former BBA Housemates to grace Frankie Joe’s album launch
Former Big Brother season 9 housemate, Frankie Joe, is in final preparations for his upcoming album launch, according to our snoops. Frankie Joe is a model, musician and actor who represented Rwanda in the continental show.
Our snoops say other BBA 9 contestants will grace the show. So far, our scouts tell us that Sabina and Alusa from Kenya and Tayo from Nigeria have already confirmed their attendance.
Our snoops also got a glance at the album titled Alive to Love and the first single Byinauzaunsanga is already playing on various radio stations. The concert that is slated to take place next month will also feature seasoned musician Kidum Kibido.
