We should not allow publication of propaganda against China in our national and leading newspaper: this is called willing alienation. The west’s war with China, and Russia—which the former are losing—should not be fought on our grounds.

The truth is the emergence of China has sounded the decay of neo-colonialism; Chinese support to Africa has had fewer conditions, was much less hypocritical, and never claimed to have a higher moral ground.

For instance, the article says "its [Chinese] leaders rely on mercantilism and protectionism to further their high-tech goals”. This is hypocrisy: it is capitalism and mercantilism that mean the same thing.

Also, tell that to Bill Gates who refused to reveal his codes to the IT community, thereby delaying the advancement of technology for his "mercantilist” gains...

Anyway, just ask yourself this: Has a Chinese ever enslaved, colonised, and bombed any African nation? Do Chinese have any military base on the shores of the African continent? Then why is there never a Chinese who invests his time and money explaining to us how Americans or Europeans are ‘bad’?

As a Rwandan, I have the right to express in our newspaper my opinion about Chinese, Americans, Brazilians, Mozambicans, etc. However, a European shouldn’t be allowed to come and tell us who to love and who to hate; enough preaching already.
