Organisers of the Gospel Flava, a gospel concert that took place Sunday evening at Petit Stade in Remera, have announced that the concert will be held after every three months.
Eric Mugisha, one of the Directors of Moriah Entertainment Group, the key organiser, told The New Times that the concert is aimed at promoting upcoming gospel musicians.
"As a platform that will help to promote these musicians, we believe having it many times as well as bringing gospel musicians from neighbouring countries will help in building gospel music in this country,” said Mugisha.
The second edition of the concert started at 5p.m, under the theme, "Celebrating Jesus, the Foundation of True Worship and Praise.”
The curtain raisers, Soldiers of Christ, a dance group of youth from various churches, put up a great performance.
Other performers included Guy Badi Banga Aime Uwimana, Patient Bizimana and Damascene Kanuma, The Blessings, Shekinah Drama Team, Shinning Stars and The Worshipers—a group that also mesmerized the crowed with their acappella.
Kanuma from Zion Temple received a standing ovation after performing his popular song, Araje. The concert was co-hosted by Pastor Abraham of Hope church in Kacyiru and Aline Gahongayire, a renowned gospel musician.
