AS Muhanga hammered Rwamagana FC 4-1 in the second division league Pool B at Stade de Muhanga on Saturday to stay top with seven points after three rounds of matches.
Nineteen-year old Ange Jimmy Mutsinzi netted twice and Tati Uwineza and Eric Mugabo added one goal apiece to hand Felix Mbonyizana’s side a comfortable home win.
Afterwards, Mbonyizana said he was thrilled by his youthful side’s performance on Saturday and tipped but also cautioned his players against complacent as they push for a return to the top flight division after a two season absence.
In other Pool B fixtures, last year’s topflight side Esperance were stunned 1-0 at home by Miroplast FC, Kirehe held Sorwathe on a goalless draw while Interforce lost 2-0 to Unity FC.
In Pool A, on-form La Jeunesse tore apart league newcomers of Hope FC 4-0 at Mumena stadium in Nyamirambo, SEC Academy and ASPOR shared a 1-all draw, Heroes FC 0-0 Gasabo while Vision FC and Vision Jeunesse also drew 0-0.
La Jeunesse lead Pool A l with a maximum 9 points from three matches.
