National tennis team coach Jean-Baptiste Nshimiyimana has admitted that his tennis players will need to be at their best if they are to challenge for the ITF Africa Junior Championships that is slated to take place from March 11-22 in Tunis, Tunisia.

At the continental championships, Nshimiyimana will take five players in both U-16 and 14 categories respectively.

The U-16 players include; Ernest Habiyambere, Chantal Mutuyimana, Flavia Kayitesi, Fabrice Tuyishime while Everyne Kwizera will play in the U-14s. Kwizera and Kayitesi will be making their debut in this competition.

"When you are playing against a big team with pedigree in whatever sport, you have to try and offer a threat, and that is what we need to do in Tunis,” said the 45-year old trainer, adding that "once that is done, chances are high that you can proceed to the next level.”

Habiyambere, who is the most experienced player on Nshimiyimana’s team, said that they will work as a team as well as following the coach’s guidelines.

"We will work as a team and will follow the guidelines of our coach and ensure that we can win medals,” noted the 16-year old starlet.
