Diplomate is on a mission to support upcoming musicians.

Nuur Fassasi, known by his stage name Diplomate, has been in the music business for long and has seen the highs and lows of living a musician’s life.

Diplomate decided long ago that he wanted to support upcoming musicians, especially those in hip-hop. The rapper has now started a project called ‘Rap 4 Change’ to promote young music talent in the country.

The singer, who recently joined Yego TV as a presenter, says he will use his ‘Amakuru n’ ingoma’ show on the TV, to support young talented musicians who find it hard to have their songs aired or played on local radio stations.

"My dream has always been to support my fellow musicians, especially those with financial difficulties. I’m glad for my new project, Rap 4 Change,” says Diplomate.

"I’ll not only use my talk show to promote hip-hop music in the country, but I’ll also promote young musicians,” he adds.

Diplomate’s 30-minute show airs every Sunday at 8pm.

The talented, straight-talking and no nonsense rapper became very popular in the music industry when his songs, such as Umucakara w’ibihe, featured at historical events. He is working on the video for his single, Tebuka nkufotore, to be released next week.
