After reading this article, I started talking about it with a few ladies I work with and I was astounded at how they perceived it. They think that a C-section is for lazy people who don’t want to push, but I don’t think that everyone likes to undergo a C-section. Many times, it is an emergency when the woman is in labour. I totally understand why some people prefer to have it done.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I was scheduled for a C-section but I changed my mind to see if I could push the baby. My baby’s position was tricky so I ended up having surgery in the end and it was great! I had an amazing recovery. I am choosing to have a C-section with my next child whenever that is.

And you know what, they are also complications with normal deliveries. My daughter had the cord wrapped around her neck and we didn’t even know it until she was delivered through surgery. If I had pushed her, she could have died.

While having surgery means a longer recovery and a harder time getting up from a chair, bed, etc., I didn’t suffer much, and my scar is barely noticeable. I wouldn’t recommend a C-section, but it was amazing for me and I plan to do it again.
