I would like to respond to the story, "Nationwide review of ‘Ubudehe’ starts” (The New Times, February 3).

Ubudehe is a good tool in the fight against poverty eradication; the challenge is now getting those collecting data to do it diligently to ensure that the exercise delivers the intended results – a true picture of economic status of individual households across the country.

I am very positive that this will be a viable cause for the nation because the government has proven more than capable of delivering programmes that can uplift the people from poverty.
