Goals from Anna Marrie Ibangarye (2) and Saidah Ntagisanimana (1) and Liberate Nibagwire (1) helped Grace Nyinawumuntu to maintain their grip on top spot in the national women league.

"We have only played two games but so far so good, it is a good start for us as we wait to win a sixth consecutive league title,” said AS Kigali coach, Nyinawumuntu.

Elsewhere, Kamonyi showed their determination to challenge AS Kigali by beating Rugende 6-0 for their second win in a row.

AS Kigali lead the table with 6 points, level with Kamonyi but the five-time reigning champions have a better goal difference.
