Kamonyi Women Football club coach Emmanuel Habiyambere has vowed to end AS Kigali’s six year dominance of women football.

The Nyanza based club tactician is in a bullish mood after seeing his side open their league campaign with 9-1 thrashing of new comers Youvia football club.

"I challenged my players to end AS Kigali’s dominance. We believe we have assembled a team which has a mixture of experience and youth, something which is crucial in a league campaign,” Habiyambere said.

 The national women football league started last week with season’s Champions AS Kigali showing their rivals what to expect after walloping Rugende 14-0.

Kamonyi finished in second position last season.
