Dance Africa is meant to promote and showcase the continent’s diverse cultural richness through rhythm and dance, with ‘Dance Forever’ as the motto.

"The initiative was conceived after noticing we all had our different styles and ways of doing music over the years hence we felt the need to converge and connect all these into one initiative,” says Provoke.

Dance Africa has so far attracted artistes and dancers from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Angola and South Africa including Kenya’s Just A Band, Blinky Bill, Fena Gitu, Wangechi, Stan, Jeff Myrac, Wini Nkinda, FBI dancers, Levis and Fadhilee; Uganda’s Cliff; South Africa’s HHP; Nigeria’s Olamide; Angola’s dance group Staff Paulo, The Groove and Maya Zuda, just to mention a few.

The initiative’s supporting producers and partners from the participating countries are Ogopa Deejays, Provoke Music, BigSoul Entertainment, Ruaka Music Label and RR from Kenya, with support from upcoming urban clothing line Nyeks Apparel, B Hits and District 9 in Tanzania; TimCOde in Uganda; Dj Romano in Angola and MOD17 from London.

"The main objective of the initiative is to promote, showcase the continent’s diverse cultural richness and further develop the already existing relationship among peers in music/entertainment industry across the continent especially those countries involved in the project,” adds Provoke.
