Godfroid Okoko, Mukura victory sports head coach, has cautioned his players not to be complacent against Gicumbi when the two sides clash in the national football league tomorrow afternoon.

The Burundian-born tactician who took over the black and yellow outfit from Jean Baptiste Kayiranga last year will be looking for his fourth win at the club.

Since his return to Mukura, he has won three, drawn two and lost one game.

Gicumbi stunned Police last week after defeating the law enforcers 1-0 and will be looking for a second win in a row while Mukura will be looking to avoid a second consecutive defeat after losing 1-0 to Rusizi-based Espoir on Tuesday last week.

"Football has no formula, because they (Gicumbi) beat Police last week, it doesn’t mean they are assured of a victory against us. We shall travel to Gicumbi looking for victory, we can’t afford losing twice in a space of one week,”Okoko told Times Sport.

He also noted, "We’re in a race to distance ourselves from relegation zone, if we collect three points against Gicumbi and Musanze and Kiyovu lose, we will jump to 10th from 12th position. That is an extra motivation”

Emmanuel Ruremesha’s Gicumbi will be keen for victory in the hope of storming into the big four if Rayon Sports and Amagaju drop points in their respective matches against Isonga and Espoir.

Champions APR lead the league log with 32 points, AS Kigali are second with 28 points, Police are in 3rd with 24 points, while Rayon Sports are in 4th with 22 points.
