Christian Hatumimana, the Executive Secretary of FRVB, said that 80 per cent of FRVB’s budget comes from the Ministry of Sports and Culture while the rest is sourced from sponsors.
Of the Rwf1b, Rfw78.5 million will be used to organise national and club competitions, while Rfw10m will be used for administrative costs by the federation.
Rfw52.1m will be spent on training coaches as well as talent detection at the grassroots with Rwf50m is reserved for other development activities, and Rfw86.6m will go to beach volleyball.
According to Hatumimana, the federation will also spend Rfw62.6m on other expenses like advertising and promotion. The national volleyball competition starts on February 21.
