PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a professional services firm, will next month launch a business school, a move aimed at supporting government’s efforts to building the capacity of Rwandans in the private and public sectors to deliver the country’s development agenda, the firm said in a statement yesterday.

The firm targets monitoring and evaluation, and taxation professionals, the statement added.
PwC has business schools in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Mauritius and Kenya.
"We rely on our pool of experts in Rwanda to provide trainees with indepth knowledge and understanding of Rwanda’s working environment and offer tax, assurance and advisory solutions to unique business challenges they face,” it added.
Last year, the firm started a tax academy which offers monthly training sessions on tax issues.
"PwC has worked in Rwanda for over five years, this experience has helped us get an in-depth knowledge of the market, which enables us to appreciate the challenges the different sectors face,” read the statement.
This will enable the business school provide tailored programmes that meet students’ and the labour market’s demands, the firm added.
