Rwanda’s U-16 tennis sensation Ernest Habiyambere is keen on shining in the ITF African tennis junior championship, slated for March 9-2 in Tunisia.
The 15-year-old tennis star was awarded the best player of the ITF African qualification campaign staged in Tanzania after defeating Tanzania’s Emmanuel Nicodema in the singles finals.
"I am now focused on the African ITF junior championship and am training hard so I can have the sort of success that I had in Tanzania,” Habiyambere said.
Habiyambere alongside Cedric Tuyishime, Chantal Mutuyimana, Flavia Kaitesi and Evelyn Kwizera will represent Rwanda in the ITF African junior tennis championships.
The players are expected to set off for the tournament on March 8 a day before the competition starts.
