PL calls for discipline during voting

KIREHE — The Vice President of the Liberal Party (PL) in Eastern Province Charles Kamanda, has called on party supporters to uphold discipline during the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

He was speaking to hundreds of supporters at a PL rally at Nyakarambi play ground, Kirehe district Monday afternoon.

Kamanda who is among the 16 PL candidates in the area urged the party followers to be exemplary during the September 15 polls.

"Don’t be among the wrong doers because this is not part of our aims and objectives but rather it is part of what we will fight against once you vote for PL,” he said adding:
"Come early to vote and go back to your homes and attend to your usual domestic work because PL advocates for hard work as the basis of development which should be every Rwandan’s vision.”

He added that among other things the party advocates for is justice and liberty for all.

Alphonse Dusabimana, the district party president, and parliamentary contender said fostering total unity, economic development, protecting the environment, education, and working hand in hand with other political parties are some of the party’s objectives.

Other candidates present at the rally included Eugenie Kabageni, who seeking a second term, Jean de Dieu Kayonga, Consolée Nyirabahire, and George Mupenzi .
