DJ Kavori emerged as the victor in the "Mützig Amabeats DJ Competition," defeating his fellow competitors in a finale showdown that took place at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV) on the evening of Saturday, October 14.

The grand champion, real name Antipa Komezusenge, is a 24-year-old dynamo in the music scene. DJ Kavori not only claimed the title but also seized a one-year brand ambassador contract worth Rwf18 million complemented by DJ equipment valued at Rwf5 million.
While DJ Kavori seized the coveted top spot, the competition witnessed incredible performances from other DJs. DJ Dallas claimed the first runner-up position and was awarded a one-year brand ambassador contract valued at Rwf12 million. Additionally, he received DJ equipment worth Rwf2.5 million.

The second runner-up position was secured by the seasoned DJ Lenzo, renowned for coaching the first edition&039;s winner, DJ Selekta Danny. DJ Lenzo was awarded a cash prize of Rwf2.5 million.
The fourth and fifth places were earned by DJ Yolo and DJ Noodlot.
The competition's grand finale was a spectacle of creativity, music, and style. Each DJ entered the stage with a unique introduction and attire, embodying their favorite aesthetic. The audience was treated to a vibrant display of South African, Rwandan traditional, West African, Egyptian Pharaoh, and Ninja styles.
The competition comprised two rounds
There was a genre showcase where each DJ selected a genre and was given ten minutes to showcase their skills and creativity within that specific musical domain. From hip-hop and new school to Rwandan music, Afro beats, dancehall, and old school classics, these five DJs delivered a captivating musical experience.
Second round was the scratch and freestyle, in this segment, the DJs displayed their scratching techniques and freestyle skills.
Guest DJs entertained the crowd as the panel of judges tallied the votes, keeping the audience in anticipation. The panel of judges included DJ Infinity, DJ Anita Pendo, and DJ Sharif. MC entertainers MC Tino, MC Tessy, and MC Masinzu also kept the audience engaged throughout the event.
The Mützig Amabeats DJ Competition, sponsored by Bralirwa Plc, holds a mission to illuminate the talents of DJs and celebrate the rich quality of music in Rwanda, all under the campaign banner of "Never Stop Starting."
