AS Kigali WFC showcased their resilience as defender Sifa Gloria Nibagwire's injury time header salvaged a point against Rayon Sports WFC following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Nzove SKOL Stadium.

Rayon sent home supporters into a frienzy in Nzove after taking an early lead through Jeanine Mukandayisenga.

However, AS Kigali fought back in the second half, making attacking changes to bolster their offensive prowess.

The visitors dominated the second half but Rayon&039;s steadfast defense managed to cope with their attacking threat until Nibagwire headed home an equalizer in the 96th minute to ensure a draw.

AS Kigali were awarded a corner which was expertly taken by Alodie Kayitesi. Nibagwire rose high to deliver a stunning free header, securing a crucial point for her team.

The Rwandan champions’ ‘never-give-up’ attitude and a resolute defense from fresh title hopefuls Rayon Sports WFC produced an enthralling and balanced encounter from the two sides which could create a fresh rivalry between the two heavy weights.
