Gakondo group’sonly female member Diane Teta seems to have started the New Year on a good note.
Teta was invited to Sweden for a two-month visit to work with different music labels, including Stocktown Films, towards the end of last year.
Now, the petite singer is scheduled to perform in Brussels, Belgium, today. The live concert will also feature performances by Belgium-based Rwandan legendary folk singer Jean-Marie Muyango, Canadian-based Marechal de Gaulle Ufiteyezu and DJ Saido, among musicians.
"It’s all good and I feel more than ready for this concert. I want to make everyone who will attend this concert enjoy the show and I hope they will,” Teta said.
Teta is an extremely gifted young woman - her singles, such as Call Me, Kwifata, Ndaje and Fata Fata, among others, helped her garner quite a big following. She sings both traditional and mainstream music. Her rapid rise to fame was due to her passion for folk music.
