Rwanda’s representative in next year’s African Cup Confederation, APR Football Club is hosting a fundraising drive on September 21.

The fundraising is aimed at soliciting funds for the nine-time national league champions. The club will use the same occasion to unveil its new players.

APR who lost last season’s national league title to rivals Atraco wants to start early preparations on all sides (financially and technically) ahead of busy national and continental schedules next season.

Some of the new players that have joined the military side include; Janvier Bessala Bokungu from DC Mutema Pembe, Ismail Nshutinamagara and Patrick Mafisango from Atraco, Jean Claude Iranzi from SC Kiyovu, Arafat Serugendo from Mukura, Kimalwa Mwembo from St.Eloi Lupopo, Guy Basisila from TP Mazembe and Bokota Labama Kamana.

According to reliable sources, the military side will also off-load some players. Meanwhile, their Dutch coach Rene Feller who guided them to last season’s Amahoro Cup is expected in the country to resume his duties on Wednesday, September 10.
