According to the team’s coach, Jean Baptiste Nshimiyimana, the nine players include five girls and four boys—the players started training on Saturday at Kigali Sports Centre in Rugunga.

According to the team’s coach, Jean Baptiste Nshimiyimana, the nine players include five girls and four boys—the players started training on Saturday at Kigali Sports Centre in Rugunga.
The five girls include; Evelyne Kwizera, Chantal Mutuyimana, Clenia Niyonshimwe, Flavia Kayitesi and Eraude Ishimwe while the boys are; Ernest Habiyambere, Fabrice Tuyishime, Joseph Cyiza and Djasumin Uwamwezi.
Habiyambere, Tuyishime, Mutuyimana as well as Kayitesi will compete in the U-16 category, Niyonshima and Kwizera will compete in the U-14 while Ishimwe, Cyiza and Uwamwezi will play in the U-12 category.
The 11-day tournament will attract players from five regional countries including; Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi and the hosts Tanzania.
The three best players from each category will qualify to take part in the African ITF Junior Championship to be held in March in Tunis, Tunisia.
The team will set off for Tanzania on Friday, two days before the tournament starts.
