Striker Ernest Sugira has played down reports suggesting that he has retired from international football.
Sugira, 32, has not featured for Amavubi since the 2-0 defeat to Guinea in an international friendly on January 6, 2022, sparking speculations that he has retired from the national team.
However, the striker, who has an impressive goal scoring record for Rwanda where he netted 12 goals in 32 matches, says he is still available for selection.
"People who are saying that I have retired from the national team have no information about me. It is just rumors. I have not retired," Sugira told Weekend Sport.

The Rwanda international is out of contract since he left Syrian outfit Al Wahda Damascus when his deal expired on June 30.
He has been spending his time in Kigali as he is yet to find a new club.
"I will join a new team next month [November]. My choice is obviously a foreign team but I will still consider the local league as plan B," he said.
Sugira previously played for APR, Rayon Sports, AS Kigali and AS Muhanga in Rwanda as well as Congolese outfit AS Vita Club of Congo to mention a few.
