THE NATIONAL Volleyball team will travel to Tunisia to play a series of friendlies in mid January as they prepare for the Zone 5 Volleyball championships, according to the Volleyball Federation spokesperson Christian Hatutimana.
The Zone 5 tourney is expected to take place in Kenya between February and March and will attract Egypt, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya and Rwanda.
The games will serve as a qualifier for the All African Games slated for September 4–19 in Congo Brazzaville
Christian Hatutimana told Times Sport that the team will play against elite teams in Tunis to help the national team build up momentum ahead of the Zone five competition.
"Tunisia has very good teams so the friendlies will aid our players in Zone 5 games,” Hatutimana said.
