On the Kenyan side, the Standard Gauge Railway is surprisingly progressing fast. This is unusual for projects in Kenya but I think the three leaders – Presidents Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya – have shown a new level of commitment and unity of purpose that, if maintained, will propel the region forward.

This unity must now be brought to other areas like security and fight against terrorism/corruption which are all closely related.
