Three hundred fifty nine days gone, seven left to say good bye to 2014. We can only thank God for bringing us this far; but more importantly, because the education sector has made a lot of strides this year.

The Government, for instance, launched the school feeding programme, continued to review the curriculum with the aim of enriching it, and announced plans to modify the long used Kinyarwanda language.

The Ministry of Education also revisited the student loan scheme to help students from poor families also access university education. We bring you major highlights of the year in today’s lead story in order to gauge where progress has been made and areas that still need improvement.
