Isonga Football Club on Tuesday evening sacked Coach Innocent Seninga following a poor run of results that has seen the club get just 3 points from 10 league games in the national football league.

The youthful side is bottom of the league after 3 draws and 7 losses.

Sandra Muhimpundu, the club’s Secretary General said that the coach has not only underperformed but has also created disharmony in the team coupled with other acrimonious acts which she refused to disclose.

"We called him and talked to him together with the technical committee to see whether there can be a change but it instead worsened and the board decided to terminate his contract,” Muhimpundu said.

However Seninga claimed that the club failed to back him when the team was under a rough patch and at times undermined him by sending someone from the technical board to take charge of training sessions.

"In football, everyone has a philosophy he uses to win matches, they imposed on me someone to actually train the team even when I was still the coach of the club, that was unprofessional,” Seninga said.

Seninga took over Isonga in September from Yves Rwasamanzi who had led the club from the second division.

Suleiman Niyibizi, who was an assistant to Seninga will take over according to the Club’s Secretary General.
