The National tennis team has been invited to compete in this year’s Goma Open championship slated for December 20-28 at Hotel Karibu tennis court.

Burundi, Rwanda and DRC Congo will take part in the one week tournament.

National Tennis team Coach Jean Pierre Nshimiyimana will take an experienced side that includes top seed Jean Claude Gasigwa and the trio of Mathew Uwizeyimana, Olivier Havugimana and Anatole Bizimana.

"They are experienced players who I am sure will triumph,” Nshimiyimana said.

According to the organisers, the winners will be awarded with medals and cash prizes which are normally communicated towards the end of the tournament.
