Squad for God Ministries in partnership with Groove Awards Rwanda have organised a 3-day action packed weekend of evangelism, concerts and community outreach.

The event starts today at 8:30 pm under the theme, "Tilling the land” at Zion Temple. However, the official day for the evangelism and community outreach is tomorrow at 9am at Maison de Jeunes de Kimisagara, where four teams, including ADEPR FC, COMEJOGA FC, Mobile FC and Forever team FC, will be competing in the Kigali Gospel Football Weekend tournament 2014.

Pastor Abraham Nganga, the founder and president of Squad for God ministries told The New Times: "We have two main objectives for hosting this Gospel weekend. We have a target to get at least 1000 souls over to God and to spread the Good News.”

"We have organised sports outreach to attract people to come and watch the soccer games and then we shall preach the word of God in different places of Kigali like Kabeza, Nyabugogo, Nyamirambo, Kicukiro, Maison des Jeunes Kimisagara. There will also be small tents with music to entertain people,” he added.

Pastor Nganga said the purpose of this worship and prayer night is to bring together evangelists, volunteers and the general public to pray for the evangelism activities.

The Gospel weekend will conclude on Sunday, with the Groove Tour Rwanda 2014 and grand finale celebration concert at Christian Life Assembly, from 2pm to 8pm.
