Rayon Sport top marksman, Labama Bokota a.k.a Kamana has ruled out a move to Primus League champions, APR Fc next season.

The DR Congo born Rwandan international has played down speculations that the military side is keen on signing him.

Speaking to Times Sport, Bokota said that he has no intention of leaving Rayon to join rivals APR [at least for next season].

"I still have contract commitments with my current club and there is no need of going around yearning for any other club.

I must have to first achieve remarkable goals with the Rayon Sport before thinking about my future,” he stressed.

He added, "No matter what speculations say or what APR themselves say, I am committed to Rayon and I don’t have any intentions to leave for any other local club.

Unconfirmed reports have linked the 24-year old striker with sensational bog money move to military side.

The inform striker steered Rayon to finish second place on the Primus league table last season. Both Rayon and APR ended the campaign level with 59 points but the latter won the league title thanks to their superior goal difference.

Bokota made his international debut for his adopted Rwanda against Liberia scoring the first goal and set up the two in the Amavubi Stars’ 4-0 demolition of the Lone Stars at Amahoro stadium on September 3.

The Rayon Sports striker needed just ten games in last season’s national league to claim a place on the national team starting line up.

His 14 goals made him the league top scorer hence the trust from national team head coach, Michael Nees to hand him the role of leading Amavubi Stars attack.

The champions have added SC Kiyovu captain Djabil Mutarambirwa to their already rich squad for next season.
Talks have already been concluded for the Rwandan international to join Andy Mfutila’s side although he can not get his license from Ferwafa until November.

If the transfer materializes, the pacy winger will become the fifth player to cross from Kiyovu to rivals APR in the last four years.

Old Kiyovu players already at APR include defender Aloua Gaseruka who joined in 2004, midfielder Jean Shyaka and defenders Shaka Okello and Jean Bosco Uwacu.

The trio switched elegancies two seasons ago.

Despite winning their ninth league title last season, APR have struggled to make an impact on the continent.

Before Mfutila, the military side had tried a host of local and foreign coaches in a bid to make a mark on Caf competitions specifically the Champions League but all in vain.

The two-time regional champions have not gone past the preliminary phase of any Caf competition.

Under Capt Jean Marie Ntagwabira, APR in 2004 were on the verge of reaching the lucrative group stages but narrowly missed out after losing to Ivory Coast’s Africa Sport in the third round.

Last season, they reached the second round before controversially being eliminated by Togo’s Maranatha de Fiokpo.

But they will hope to go a step further this time round when they take yet a fresh bid in the Champions League. Rayon will play in the Confederations Cup.
