Lions de fer defeated archrivals Remera Bufalloes 28-14 in the finals to win the rugby 10s tournament on Sunday at Utexrwa ground in Gacuriro. The tournament was organised by Lions de fer. Team captain Yannik Sangwa led Lions de fer from the front, scoring 3 tries 2 conversions as his team won a second tournament in three months, following their success in the Sharks 7s in September.

Vincent Kamali scored two tries for Remera Bufalloes and Ugandan import Allan Otim made two conversions.
After the final whistle, Sangwa expressed his delight at winning the one-day tournament and urged his teammates to carry the momentum into the national league which is scheduled to get underway on December 20.
"Our aim is to continue with this top performance even in the league,” he said.
The tournament attracted 6 teams, including; Lion de fer, Remera Buffaloes and Puma in group A while group B had Muhanga, Thousand Hills and Sharks Rugby club.
